3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
After Missus birthday weekend, client sessions and housework keeping my mind occupied, the pace now slows for three days, allowing some stillness and contemplation. When I pause these days, the thing I feel is inner peace, and I can tell you that it is absolutely delicious!!

I find that whereas folks around me dive into their next DIY project or a daytrip when they have a minute, I contemplate the nature of existence. I guess that if you have always easily "fitted in" you strive to stay there. I have never had that experience, so I take an interest in what everything is all about.

I have concluded that the fundamental groundstuff of existence is consciousness - there are just too many anomalies for it to be energy. You would expect energy as a wave to exist in a smooth seamless scale of intensity, but it doesn't! It comes in packets, discrete bits and on set levels, much like packets of data in computers.

All the events convinces me that the philosophy that best fits current scientific understanding is nondualism -that everything is really one thing. You are that one thing looking at itself from a specific point within itself. Though playing a character is a great way to experience things, I no longer wish to be "lost" in it -I enjoy the blissful stillness of experiencing everything as it really is from this single point while I can, before this particular node of awareness dissipates and is re-absorbed back into the whole. My experience however and knowledge of the truth will be left behind for other nodes to pick up and learn from.

6. TODAY'S ONELINER
When they discover the centre of the universe, a lot of people I know will be shocked to find they're not in it. :D

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!

8. TRIVIA
The Black Death followed a period of population growth in Europe which, combined with two years of cold weather and torrential rains that wiped out grain crops, resulted in a shortage of food for humans and rats. This caused people and animals to crowd in cities, providing an optimal environment for disease.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Without dialogue, humans are doomed to walk in the darkness of their own dogmatic self-righteousness. Dialogue is the lamp by which we dispel that darkness, lighting and making visible for each other our steps and the path ahead.
