3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
You know you're a natural at something because what to do comes to you without much effort. Back in 2007 when I started training as a hypnotherapist I knew I was born to do this, and I've continued to feel that way ever since, even when I would go months without a client.

I've found that if I try to "force it" intellectually, I just get tired, but when I relax the ideas flow like a stream from my subsconscious about where to go with a particular client - and generally the result is success, especially now I'm more picky about who I take on. I've learned that if you're naturally talented at something, put the work in to keep yourself sharp but be guided by your intuition rather than how you think you should do things.

I teach this to clients who are talented but "stage fright" gets the better of them - I teach them to relax, let their intellect "get out of the way" and allow their natural ability to flow from within. Life has taught me emphatically that the way to live it is to ruthlessly and relentlessly follow your passion.

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!

8. TRIVIA
The Spanish flu was sometimes called “the purple death” because the worst symptom, signaling certain death, was known as “heliotrope cyanosis,” when the lungs were starved of oxygen and the patient would turn purple, black, or blue.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Merely thinking about our own problems often causes us to fall even deeper into despair. But, by offering a hand to someone who is also suffering, we ourselves regain the will to live. Taking action out of concern for others enables us to heal our own lives.
