3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I've now had three experiences of three different couriers misdelivering parcels meant for me! Two were because of printing incorrect postcodes on them. How hard can it be to get it right?! At least NEXT responded appropriately - I'm going to get money back and £15 compensation. Let's see what happens with the next thing I order! Amazon, bless them, get it right every time. Perhaps others need to find out how they do it!

Incompetent couriers aside, Missus thoroughly enjoyed her birthday weekend - a great success all round. She was showing the effects though as she spent Monday evening somewhat zombiefied. That however made my own evening smoother!

One thing I was quite pleased with was my response. Abundance is very nice but what is more important to a fulfilling life is to respond appropriately in the most positive way to whatever the circumstances are. Using a tennis analogy, you cannot choose your opponent, only how you return their serve.

I've also been reminded of the importance of placing your focus in the right place, OUTSIDE of the character rather than being lost in it. Meditation is really important in strengthening your ability to do this so is a "top of the agenda" daily activity

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Do you need to learn how to respond better to things?

5. TODAY'S WEATHER IN BRADFORD
Dry, mild and cloudy throughout with a light south-westerly wind
Max Temp = 17 degC at 2pm
Min Temp = 11 degC at 6am
Sunrise at 04:35
Sunset at 21:40
Moon: New Moon

Weathertrack: A ridge of high pressure will keep Britain mainly dry
Overnight, this ridge will move away east, allowing weak weather fronts to move in from the west
Air Pressure: 1024 millibars and static

6. TODAY'S ONELINER
Sharks get a bad press - if some overweight bloke I didn't know appeared in my house wearing only Speedos, I'd probably attack him too! :D

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!
The Graham Norton Show - Mitchell and Webb's Rants on Smoking, Coffee and Nudists

8. TRIVIA
Before an ancient Egyptian scribe wrote anything, he always poured out some water mixed with ink as an offering to the god Thoth, the messenger of the gods and patron of scribes and learning. Egyptians who could write were believed to have power from the gods.

9. ZEN WISDOM
No matter what the state of society or the times, each of us can contribute to peace in our immediate environment. We can do this by encouraging even one young person and enabling them to tap into their own potential.
