3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Not again!! For the second time a courier (different company) delivered a parcel of mine to the wrong address and got a signature from persons unknown. Chasing it is hassle I don't need. In the overall scheme of things this is not a big deal but it strikes a raw nerve I can't fully pinpoint. The stupidity involved and the fact that I can't get my hands on an individual perpetrator is highly frustrating.

Having made an initial complaint, there's nothing more to do about it until tomorrow morning, but once I have a "bee in my bonnet" about something for which there isn't closure, it's very hard for me to let go of. Being open about the fact that I can't actually helps, but nevertheless, letting go is hard work for me - it requires high levels of concentration.

Missus reports being treated well and generously by Daughter yesterday. I know from past experience of digging a little deeper into what actually went on that Missus can somewhat exaggerate Daughter's "generosity". It's not generosity if it involves us paying money. However in this case money paid was £6 for Missus own lunch, which is a tolerable expense. I conclude that Missus was treated "reasonably" yesterday.

Aside from the parcel issue, which I only found about today anyway, yesterday was a good day enjoyed by myself and Missus, in my case enjoying a triple-movie fest. Son meanwhile is finding being in love for the first time a highly intense experience and something of a traumatic rollercoaster. As well as handling your lover's intense emotions, you have to handle your own. Jealousy, possessiveness and suspicion are highly toxic to relationships if you cannot manage them. Faith and trust are the only treatments.

The lesson I am learning from all these experiences is that it's not the circumstances but the response that determines outcomes! I will focus on responding correctly.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Are you responding in the best way to the circumstances you face?

6. TODAY'S ONELINER

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!

8. TRIVIA
Mothers who are over 40 at the time of a child’s birth are more likely to have a left-handed baby than a woman in her 20s.

9. ZEN WISDOM
One cannot expect to become happy without hardship or effort. Because we challenge ourselves we become strong. To become strong is to become happy.
