3. TODAY's SELF-OBSERVATION
Shift 1 of the Weekend Job went smoothly. The Weekend Job generally does go smoothly but I was kinda on edge after the previous "Saturday Incident". That was a week today, so I will still be somewhat wary on this shift.

Stepping outside of this character, I find the reactions of this brain fascinating. Is this hypersensitivity caused by nature or nurture? Probably a little of both, and in any case, knowing the physiology wouldn't solve the problem, only make it clearer. Both my children have the same trait, indicating a genetic cause, but with an important difference: Son has like myself learned to defuse situations by confession and apology where we are clearly at fault. Daughter instead is incapable of admitting fault and simply "goes nuclear" and gets vindictive - like her grandmother.

So if nothing can be done about the reactions themselves, there must firstly be self-acceptance then a coping strategy - these I have done, enough to cope with most situations, but there must also acceptance that I can be broken - a bad run or unfortunate combination of circumstances WOULD break me. There is nothing I can do about that, but accepting it as fact, coming to terms with one's own fragility brings inner peace. That helps my consciousness to rise out of my character and simply enjoy the movie.

8. TRIVIA
Valentine’s Day was first introduced to Japan in 1936 and has become widely popular. However, because of a translation error made by a chocolate company, only women buy Valentine chocolates for their spouses, boyfriends, or friends. In fact, it is the only day of the year many single women will reveal their crush on a man by giving him chocolate. The men don’t return the favor until White Day, a type of “answer day” to Valentine’s Day, which is on March 14.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Courage and compassion are two sides of the same coin. Compassion without courage is not genuine. You may have a compassionate thought or impulse, but if you don’t do or say anything, it’s not real compassion.
