3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
In my personal life, this character has learned to be ruthless with who is allowed into it. Recently an old "friend", the longest-running I have, re-established contact via Facebook but then attempted to dictate how I communicated with him. Even as kids, my relationship with him had been volatile, and now we're fiftysomethings he appears not to have changed at all!

After a brief hesitation, I dumped him. In a corporate/team environment, you have to work with people you don't like, but in my personal life, I dump anyone who makes me feel uncomfortable, no matter how closely related they are or how long I have known them for. Since I have adopted this policy, I have been blissfully happy. The one exception to this is Daughter, who I can't be fully rid of while her mother lives. She continues via her mother to inject venom into my life, but at least I can keep this hateful and vindictive woman at arm's length, and her poison only occasionally reaches me.

Keeping my life purged of the unpleasant has an important benefit - to allow me to make the maximum difference and fulfill this character's purpose. Peace and freedom are not a "given" - they have to be fought for and continually defended in order for you to live the life you want to live.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU

6. TODAY'S ONELINER
