3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Prompted by slow progress on Operation Equinox I took to hoofing it to the Weekend Job, taking advantage of the dry weather, and enjoyed it immensely! The legs seemed to suffer more on Day 2 but not enough to prevent the therapeutic effect on mind and body. My 40" trousers, tight when I acquired them, are now slack and I can take them off without undoing them! I expect reasonable progress at the Day 30 weigh-in.

I have been struggling to find the right mind-emptying technique - I'm currently using the Swish technique and envisage being filled with a violet mist to represent a silent mind. This is a work-in-progress!

I begin Sunday with an almost ideal frame of mind and so expect to make some positive difference today.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Can you remember when your mind was absolutely in the right place?

5. TODAY'S WEATHER IN BRADFORD

Max Temp = 9 degC at 1pm
Min Temp = 4 degC at 8am

Weathertrack: An anticyclone north of Scotland will keep Britain mainly dry, cloudy and cool, but a trough forming over the North Sea will bring rain to England and Wales overnight as it moves west

8. TRIVIA
Shakespeare’s son, Hamnet, died in 1596. His daughter Susanna died in 1649. His younger daughter Judith had three children, but all died before their mother and without children. His granddaughter Elizabeth, daughter of Susanna, died childless in 1670, ending the William Shakespeare line

9. ZEN WISDOM
Alone, one’s suffering only deepens. Human beings need to be with and among other human beings. Engagement with others forges our character and enriches us.
