3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
There seems to be a theme in the last few days of a string of inconsequential annoyances affecting my mood but then followed by a recovery. I would call this a qualified success in that annoyances no longer ruin my whole day. I can manage but not fundamentally change the biochemical responses of this form to stimuli.

As my character I was somewhat disappointed to find that "Slime Manager" at the Weekend Job has attracted Facebook friends who I would consider more sympathetic to my own viewpoint. After some contemplation I shrugged my shoulders and accepted the fickle and two-faced nature of people. I am not counting on these folks for any kind of support, and Slime Manager has, since our confrontation earlier in the year, kept out of my face anyway.

As a teacher of Philosophy and Spirituality I seem to be unique in advocating the use and open discussion of the Dark Emotions as a valid tool in self-defence. This doesn't cause any self-doubt however because experience does not lie. Once I had learned to manage Dark Emotions and stop them spoiling loving, caring and non-threatening environments, I have found them highly effective in securing a better deal in hostile environments.

My understanding of the Universe is as a balance between positive and negative energy, that can be clearly seen within oneself. I consider it naive and downright misleading to imply that an existence filled only with light is possible, or to be wilfully ignorant of darkness.

Darkness and light are, I would argue, inseparable and co-dependent. Darkness therefore cannot and ought not to be ignored, where it will only expose hypocrisy, and instead be appropriately channeled. The experience of this character is living testament to that approach, having found inner peace and happiness without the need to eliminate conflict or challenges to obtain it.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Peace is not found somewhere far away. Peace is found where there is caring. Peace is found when you bring joy instead of suffering. Peace is found when you reach out and make an effort to understand and embrace someone who is different from you.
