3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION

With Son finally returning to college today, it feels like normality at last. However, rather than gritty self-psyching up to get things moving, I find myself drawing close to the Source, by which I mean True Self, the one who witnesses everything.

Of course, my character doesn't immediately reflect this shift - I doubt my character is going to suddenly turn into an angelic super-being. It only takes a few distractions to drag my consciousness back into light-dark conflict. However, the increased solitude is a golden opportunity to consolidate my focus and make it more robust so it becomes more distraction-resistant.

I will be consequently mainly "listening" to the Witness and let the day unfold by itself.

8. TRIVIA
Obama’s race against Alan Keyes in 2004 marked the first time in U.S. history that two African-Americans ran as major party nominees for a Senate seat. Obama beat Keyes by the widest margin for a Senate race in Illinois history.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Life is best lived by being bold and daring. People tend to grow fearful when they taste failure, face a daunting challenge or fall ill. Yet that is precisely the time to become even bolder. Those who are victors at heart are the greatest of all champions.
