3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
My quest for Internal Silence is not simply a whimsical aspiration for spritual experience - for me it is a mental health necessity! Uncensored chains of thought send my focus it to all kinds of dark scenarios - I have been frequently plagued by daymares - nightmarish daydreams.

When I silence my mind I cut off the "fuel supply" for these experiences and experience peace instead. However internal silence takes a high level of concentration that has to be maintained every day by practice. I have only now begun to understand what's required to maintain true inner peace, but I intend to apply myself to maintain it.

8. TRIVIA
In ancient Rome, an infant was placed at the father’s feet shortly after birth. If the father took the child into his arms, it showed he accepted responsibility for its upbringing. If the baby was not accepted, it was be abandoned and left to die.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Whatever your circumstances, whatever your past, the forces that determine your future are nowhere but within your own heart and mind. It is here that the star of your destiny shines.
