3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Today begins with a good test of character as computer hitches put me behind schedule! It is a characteristic of myself to dislike having my routine disrupted by people and things doing what they shouldn't! Unlike in less enlightened times however , I intend not to make Missus the victim of this frustration.

I have learned that mindfulness doesn't eliminate unhelpful responses, but being aware of them, you can evoke counter-responses to limit their effects on your behaviour. Though not invincible by any means to the effects on my emotions of unwanted disruption, I am certainly more robust. When I do get agitated, I rapidly recover in a calm environment.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Failure is an instrumental part of every success. Whether our life has been a triumph or tragedy can only be judged at its very end.
