3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I awoke with that "party's over" kinda feeling, knowing I had come off the lofty pinnacle of "Total Slob Weekend" but of course life inevitably moves on, and I know that the best cure for that anti-climactic feeling is to get out there and make a difference.

I know that a sound mind requires a goal to achieve and a team to work for. I was particularly inspired during my Sunday papers readathon when I read about people doing just that, particularly about maimed soldiers taking up sport and a young lady with locked-in syndrome making the most of her fertile mind. Here I am, fully able-bodied, so how much more can I make a difference?

I am profoundly grateful that my fragile mind is in such a benevolent environment where it can not only survive but thrive and pass on all the wisdom it has accumulated, show a little tenderness and kindness and yet also take a stand against external threat. I am even a little excited anticipating the difference big or small I am going to make today.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!
Stewart Lee - Unflattering Internet Comments
The genius of this piece is how Lee ridicules remarks made against him just by quoting them

8. TRIVIA
In parts of India and East Africa where water is scarce or polluted, people still bathe in cow urine. It is an effective disinfectant.

9. ZEN WISDOM
When we change, the world changes. The key to all change is in our inner transformation—a change of our hearts and minds. This is human revolution. We all have the power to change. When we realize this truth, we can bring forth that power anywhere, anytime, and in any situation.
