3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
After three days missing, with the family convinced she was dead, Shadow the cat turns up yesterday fully fit as if nothing had happened! This raised the mood considerably, particularly in Son's case, and Shadow has been close to home since, sleeping indoors overnight and interrupting my blogging demanding affection!

Though we will never know for sure, my suspicion is that she was locked in a garage nearby after getting too curious. She has certainly not gone far at all since returning! Her timing for returning was perfect, just at the start of a two week family holiday-at-home, Son getting his student finance confirmed for September and Missus getting an all-clear result from a routine mammogram.

A family-orientated fortnight thus begins, which will have plenty of scope for Me Time and generally enjoying Life.

Americans make up an estimated 5% of the world’s population. However, the U.S. produces an estimated 30% of the world’s waste and uses 25% of the world’s resources.

9. ZEN WISDOM
No matter how wonderful our dreams, how noble our ideals, or how high our hopes, ultimately we need courage to make them a reality.
