3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I occurred to me on the bus home last night that recent events and upheavals have distracted me from my current wellbeing objective - total internal silence, action by intuition and the attitude of gratitude. I have reawakened to these objectives, and also rediscovered the ability to celebrate he happiness of others and be genuinely happy for them.

Somewhere around the second half of March I got "mugged" by a malaise that I suddenly seem to be waking from. I am now beginning to understand the Zen maxim IF YOU WANT TO BE ENLIGHTENED, PREPARE TO SWEAT WHITE BEADS. The "sweat" comes from the degree of concentration required to prevent getting lost in distraction.

I am currently using the mantra submit to the moment, breathe and listen gratefully to keep myself grounded, and I'm hoping that all my experience of being distracted will finally enable me to stop doing it!

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU

6. TODAY'S ONELINER
If I got a penny for everyone I've met who is as beautiful as you, I'd have all the money in the world.  :D

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!

8. TRIVIA
The most lava ever recorded from a single eruption was the 1783 Laki eruption in Iceland. Though there was no single big explosion, this eruption killed one fourth of Iceland’s population by producing poisonous gases and clouds of ash that resulted in widespread crop failure and starvation.

9. ZEN WISDOM
The fortitude to fight on through to the very end—this strength is not only the basis of happiness, it is also the force by which social wrongs can be righted.
