3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I went to bed last night cursing my own mind, and thinking about how I would like to "take it back to the shop" - it's such hard work to keep it balanced! Of course there isn't really anything I can do except the best I can with what I've got.

In bed last night it got stuck in a kind of limbo where I wasn't descending into sleep but was too tired to get up. Eventually I found hugging a pillow did the trick - I have no idea why it worked but it did! I then slept right through apart from an 0330 wee, and to my surprise my dreams were curiously interesting.

I have concluded that my consciousness has no "moment by moment" control on events either internal or external. I might as well just sit back and "enjoy the movie" watching my character interact, but also keep focused on my objectives, and see if the apparently random and chaotic events of the present lead to those objectives.
