3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I find myself this morning in low mood! Being spiritually self-aware does not spare me from feeling what everyone else feels. However I am able to detach my conscience from it and observe it objectively. I have been early-waking since Saturday, so whilst getting sleep, probably not enough.

Yesterday a particularly hefty batch of laundry and necessary errands meant I still have housework to do today. my business account has become a small but at this point significant financial liability and I will need to close it. Missus OCD, though well damped-down, needed some addressing and Son discovered he's been the butt of a long running crank-call joke by people he had trusted, and needed my assistance.

It's a classic case of several minor disappointments adding up to a big one. Fortunately with a detached consciousness, whilst I still feel, I am aware enough to know that what is important is my response. Though all these mini-disappointments have affected my mood, none of them have hit my "raw nerves", making them much easier to manage.

I have to simply task-by-task address the issues. The OCD and crank-call situations have already been addressed. Housework will be completed this morning, and the bank account will be closed on Friday. Fulfilment comes not from an easy time but by triumph over adversity.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Ultimately, the only way to make good friends is to become a good friend yourself. Good people gather around other good people.
