3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Experience and wisdom has taught me how temporary and transient everything is, and how everything can change in a moment, which is why neither past nor future are good places to focus on. That's also why it's important not to get lost in your own constantly-changing character. I have fortunately learned how to withdraw into higher realms of consciousness, and it's from this region that I wish my focus to be permanently based.

I have realized that the character I play can run itself, guided by the intuition if I simply trust it to and is quite capable of self-balance in terms of activity and relationships. To fully let go is somewhat like dying - the soul departing while the body still lives, but then you move on up to that which you really are and simply enjoy the movie.

There is some inner reluctance to let go of the intensity of being right there in character, and you can only let go when you're finally convinced that you have ridden the rollercoaster of pleasure and suffering for long enough to be ready for something else. But having tasted the peace of mind that comes with letting go, I can see that it's better. This is an easy decision when life is quiet not so much when it's intense, unless you've already "left". I'm ready to go full time.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Are you ready for something else?

8. TRIVIA
Many Christian saints' days are former pagan festivals that the church "took over". Hallowe'en (Oct 31) and All Saints Day (Nov 1) took over Samhain, a sacred festival that marked the end of the Celtic calendar year. The Celtic custom of putting out treats and food to placate spirits who roamed outside at Samhain evolved into giving money to the poor who would then pray for departed souls in your family, and then into "trick or treating".

9. ZEN WISDOM
Happiness doesn’t exist on the far side of distant mountains. It is within you, yourself.
