3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
With all the excitement of Son's Conservatoire auditions out of the way for now, life is settling back into the comfort of ordinary routine, slightly modified by moving shopping day to Wednesday, which I have discovered is quieter and the shelves better stocked. There's something to be said for comfy cosy uneventful domestic bliss!
Such uneventful times are actually very important opportunities to refocus on purpose, objectives and raising consciousness from that of the character I play (the Ego) to the reality of the oneness of all things. When you can calm the mind sufficiently, you can feel the absolutely delicious ecstasy of simply being, which I describe as a "hum". Once you can see how it all is, and that in ultimate truth there is nothing at stake, you can sit back and enjoy the "movie" we call life with peace of mind beneath all the swirling emotions.
