3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
What greater compliment could a son pay his father? When Son realized he couldn't take me to Huddersfield, he chose to abandon the outing and instead we went as Father And Son to the Corn Dolly and had a most blokey evening drinking real ale, talking man-talk and playing pool, followed by a takeaway Chinese which we ate in front of the football.

In short, rather than going out partying with his peers for his 18th, he chose to spend the evening as just me and him. We have become not just father and son but best friends. I am basking in the spectacularly successful relationships I enjoy with Son and Missus.

I often think that this character I play sits at a fulcrum, a vantage point from which I can see the entire universe on every scale from cosmic to quantum, and experience positive and negative, darkness and light, success and failure, joy and despair, love and loneliness, selfishness and generosity, good and evil, pleasure and pain in equal bittersweet measure. I have in a quiet way truly observed life.

Through my character the universe has known itself in all its awesomeness!

9. ZEN WISDOM
Life is filled with potential that is truly unfathomable. At last we are coming to see the enormous power it possesses. That is why we must never write anyone off. In particular, we mustn’t put boundaries on our own potential. In most cases, our so-called limitations are nothing more than our own decision to limit ourselves.
