3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
The most significant thing about yesterday was right at the end of the day where myself and Son had a long conversation about life the universe and everything, deepening our bond. Once again I found myself astonished that as a father I have had polar opposite experiences with my children. It has been a traumatic but highly enlightening experience. I have learned that your behaviour as a parent is only one of several factors that determine the attitude of your child. Similarly, the quality of your relationships in general is only partly down to you and a lot more to do with the attitude of everyone else.

I consider this character a good one to play, as whilst I haven't done it all, I've certainly seen it all, and gained an understanding of the universe way beyond the average. I am particularly priviledged to have experienced a "bubble of joy", a safe loving comfortable environment where I can experience complete peace of mind. Like most people, I have not achieved all my preferences, but I have certainly achieved happiness. For this reason, my predominant attitude is gratitude.

8. TRIVIA
The human body has two kidneys, but one kidney can handle the task of filtering the blood and making urine perfectly well. If one kidney is removed, the remaining kidney will increase in size by 50% and within two months will function as efficiently as two did.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Human life is indeed wondrous. You may be ill physically, but as long as your spirit is strong, it most certainly will exert a positive influence on your body. There may be no better remedy than hope.
