3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I had a few hours in the garden yesterday, and I feel like I've walked the Yorkshire Three Peaks! This is an unfortunate side-effect of a home-based existence - you can become very physically unfit. Still, at least I got some good exercise yesterday, and with housework to do today, let's see if we can keep things moving.

Missus has developed perimenopause nausea and vomiting, which is giving me some cause for concern. Going for the simplest answer first, I will add regular doses of powdered ginger to her diet to see if that relieves it.

Having greatly reduced random thought in my mind, I'm getting new insights into how the "software" works. Thought works in chains. A thought, particularly if accompanied by an or emotion, generates other thoughts and memories that match it. I can see the advantage from an evolutionary perspective, as you can then be fully geared up for specific situations, but it can also backfire and lead to very dark moods, as one negative thought generates a string of others. A calm focused mind is thus absolutely critical to the wellbeing of both myself and others.

8. TRIVIA
The superstition that the bridegroom must not see his bride before the wedding stems from the days when marriages were arranged and the groom might never have seen the bride. There was the chance that if he saw her, he might bolt. Other sources say that to see the bride in her dress is peering into the future, which is sorcery forbidden by the Bible, and can bring bad luck.

9. THE WISDOM I'VE LEARNED FROM OTHERS
