3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I've always stumbled for a consistent Grounding visualisation and have finally stumbled across one!

It is called the Pool Of Chitta - I am standing at the shore of a large black pool. Out of it, I can observe my thoughts arising and sinking again into the pool. The thoughts themselves have no form - I simply feel them in my head as they emerge and they stop as they re-enter the pool. Whenever I am aware of being lost in my thought or emotions, I return to this pool.

The Weekend Job, where there's not much externally to entertain, is an ideal testing ground for a grounding technique, and proved very successful, even when strong painful memories arose. The Zen practice of delighting in the ordinary has suddenly made sense, as all around at any time I can see the arising and recycling of energy. I feel that I have made a significant advance in my spiritual development, and also learned a valuable mind-management technique that I can adapt and pass on to my clients.
