3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
An important teaching of Reiki is to examine the arising of anger within you and look deeper for the cause. I have two particularly raw nerves - disapproval, particularly if unwarranted, and people not doing what they're supposed to. As almost all issues are, these both stem from childhood experience. Look even deeper into the fundamental nature of things, and it's all really just Physics going on.

As a therapist I know full well that imprinted emotional reactions cannot be eradicated from the mind - they can only be effectively managed. Disapproval and the underperformance of others are inevitable, so the question boils down to the correct response. The most important response is acceptance. To resent these things is to resent the Laws of Physics. Time and space are important remedies for particularly strong emotional reactions, and thereafter, a combination of intuively-derived correct measured response and focus on intention is required.

I have reached the conclusion that fulfilment in life boils down to focus. Whatever you're looking at will determine your experience of life. The secret of fulfilment is therefore firstly to recognise this, secondly to learn how to focus, and thirdly to do it. Physics will inevitably occur around you and within you. The correct response to it is whatever brings you nearer to your intention.
