3. TODAY'S SELF OBSERVATION
Three ongoing matters dominate my awareness right now. Firstly synchronicity has brought me a trio of bruising online encounters in the past week. In previous times this would have upset me a lot, but these days my focus is on robust self-defence, either by blocking or counter-argument. I'm pleased with the way I acquitted myself in these encounters. It's taken until middle-age but I've finally come to fully accept the reality that you will be attacked in various ways, and defending yourself is a necessary task like washing is.

Secondly the Hypnotic Gastric Band experiment has got off to a good start - see the separate blog. Thirdly is Gratitude. Given the option of being sent home from Shift 1 of the Weekend Job due to the unseasonal weather, it was too good to resist, and I thoroughly enjoyed my extra time at home. Home at this time is a paradise place, and knowing all things must pass, I am lapping up and savouring every moment.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Are you truly living or just hoping to live later?

6. TODAY'S ONELINER

8. TRIVIA
Dogs have been shown to improve autistic children’s quality of life, independence, and safety. The presence of a trained dog can reduce aggressive behavior, calm the child, and serve as a link to the child’s community

9. THE WISDOM I'VE LEARNED FROM OTHERS
"Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment." - Benjamin Franklin
