3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Missus' medical consultation regarding minor eye surgery went as well as I could have expected yesterday, and I seemed to get my way regarding being allowed in the anaesthetic room when missus goes under, but the registrar and anaesthetist are different individuals of course. In any case, I can forget about it for now as missus goes on the waiting list and we wait for a surgery date.

I have chosen a lifestyle where I never know what income we're getting, and I face something of a challenge to stay positive after a series of large unexpected expenses. Liability insurance renewal and website renewal comes up in March, so I continue to live on the edge!

When you get hit by unwanted events and expenses as we have since the beginning of the year, it is easy for your focus to be distracted onto threats and worries, which exacerbate them of course. The challenge is to keep focus on what you DO want, to maximise your opportunities, and on gratitude for things enjoyed.

While finances have been on the edge, relationships with Son and Missus go from strength to strength, and real positive differences have been made to both clients and aquaintances, which are solid foundations to build on. My challenge right now is to keep attention firmly on intention, so this will very much be the subject of thought and meditation, whilst emotion is kept on Gratitude.
