3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
So much for a routine Sunday - it was dominated by the discovery of our smaller garden gates stolen - lifted clear off the hinges and removed! I took all the appropriate action - contacted the Police for a crime number (because that's all you get) and the insurer, and invested in a security chain for the "surviving" big gate.

Some subsequent Google research has revealed this to be a surprisingly common crime. With the benefit of hindsight I will take steps to ensure it won't happen again - assunimg the the insurer covers the gate - I'm waiting to hear later on today.

I thought I dealt with the whole thing really well, generally keeping focus, this incident has probably led to my insomnia - I've not slept at all overnight. Hopefully, body and mind will rebalance tonight.
