3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Today marks a "Twilight Zone" between finishing with 2012 clients and the run-up to Christmas. The whole Christmas thing for me is an act of service to the missus, who loves it with a passion. I'm afraid all joy for me comes purely from making it great for her.

Having Daughter round for six days will be an interesting experience, as how good or bad it is depends entirely on what goes on in her head. I am optimistic as she has "guest" status, which means nothing is demanded of her and I am prepared to clean up after her. I also intend to "surrender" the Lounge to her for the length of her stay, giving her ample space.

The question in my mind is: will she enjoy the space and undemanding circumstances to chill and refresh, or will she be bored out of her mind, pine for her boyfriend and generally find things to be unhappy about? I am fully prepared for "worst case scenario" and will simply put my head down and serve.
