3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
A wonderfully laid-back half-term holiday was concluded in a suitably slobby manner with some me-time in front of MOTD 2 with a very naughty tubful of rather delicious ice cream. Today however, everyone's back to work and it's time to restore balance and discipline.

It's not been a particularly great week for Son, mainly due to issues of not fitting in. The problem with having superior insight and maturity for your age is that you seem to be surrounded by idiots. This inevitably leads to feelings of isolation and loneliness. I know only too well what he is going through.

That however, is the point of course. Having been there, I'm in a position to give good guidance and support through the experience, something I never got myself. He also has an advantage in that he can seek better company, build new contacts and generally start again.

My own happiness and gratitude stems from being able to be where I'm appreciated, and I can make a meaningful difference. In my own family, I have come through traumas with all the other three to a point where I can be a rock of reliability and love. Beyond them, I can make a difference in a unilateral way with my gifts and abilities of teaching and insight to those open to it.

Ultimately, I see my life as an experience of the universe, or put another way, the universe experiencing itself from a specific point in time and space. Right now, the experience is good!
